NEWS
- 12th July, 1999
- The camp started at 9am.
Update 2pm - the campers arrived safe at the "Dr. F. Nagl Haus" and had lunch. The weather is
great: the sun is shining and the sky is blue. In the afternoon they will set up the camp and have a walk
to get used to the area. All the children are well and they are having a great time! In the evening they will
have a camp fire.
Update 5pm - The campers came back from the "picture compass" game. There was rain for about
3 minutes but now there is sunshine again at 23°C. The groups will soon start to prepare Pizza for dinner.
Later they will have a night-walk.
- 13th July, 1999
- Today the campers had an Irish Breakfast which the liked a lot. During the day there were a lot of
different activities, eg pottery (the kids made cups). The even made their own [SNIP: sorry, but this will be a
surprise]. For lunch they had hot dogs over the camp fire.
Until 4pm the weather was very fine with bright sunshine and around 23°C but then a heavy rain
started. So the evening will very likely be spent indoors where the group will
prepare apricot jam. For dinner they will have spaghetti.
The most important information though from Danny: "Everyone is ok and everone is having a great
time!"
- 14th July, 1999
- Last night they had a "Night Ghost Game" which perfectly fits to the stormy weather.
Today some campers went shopping with Danny. There were a lot of sporting activities today and there will
even be "Olympic games" this afternoon. For lunch the kids prepared Hamburger and Veggieburger along with
potatoes and rice, some cheese and more.
Tonight they will make some candles and there will be face painting.
You may see some pictures now - see the link above!
- 15th July, 1999
- As the buffet dinner took longer yesterday, the kids made the candles this morning. Last night
they had a "flash light chase" which they liked a lot.
Today the weather was fine again with about 20°C and almost no clouds. There were more sporting
activities this afternoon.
For lunch they will have a BBQ and later there will be a disco (were the camper can play their own
CDs). As a surprise they will be the first to listen to some songs of our new upcoming CD "Our Day Out"!
- 16th July, 1999
- The children enjoyed pancake breakfast over an open campfire this morning as
the electricity was out. Then we went for a final walk and played some sports at
the big clearing close to the hut. Unfortunately our soccer ball decided to jump
off the cliff. We hope the animals in the forest below are happy to have the
ball.
After lunch we started to clean up the camp, and get ready for our trip
home. The children are tired after the long week. We say good by to Fiona at
14:00, and then we leave ourselves at 16:15. Sepp, our bus driver, meets us at
the Kleine Kanzel at 17:00 and off we go.
We had a great time, and we did alot.
