Daily NEWS from the camp

Monday, July 4th, 2005
This morning the campers left at 9:45 for the Hohe Wand. They arrived safely at the Ferdinand Nagel house at 11.30.

They moved into their rooms and had self-made wraps for lunch! Then they went to inspect the area. They got their plates and cutlery before they played some getting-to-know-eachother games.

Now they are just getting ready for room-control and are preparing for campfire show. They will be having self-made pizza for dinner and they will be making wonderful jam!

This evening they will still go for a mysterious nightwalk. The kids are all fine and are having a great time!

Weather: sunny, strong wind, 21°C

Tuesday, July 5th, 2005
Yesterday the boys and girls went for a night walk and saw thousands of fireflies. They went to bed at 11 p.m.

The next day they woke up to cold, rainy and windy weather and only 10°C. They had a nice breakfast and wrote their camp diary.

Afterwards they did some arts and prepared hamburgers and veggieburgers which were not made over the fire - due to the weather.

In the afternoon the campers played games and card games and made puzzles in the house. They also got ready for camp show.

This eve the kids will be playing the soletti game, the hot-hot-soup game and the bubble gum game.

All the kids are having great fun and are feeling excellent!!

After spaghetti for dinner they will still hear a ghost story .... what a spooky night !!!!

Wednesday, July 6th, 2005
In the evening the kids had a very nice ghost story eve because it rained heavily and it was very windy.

This morning they had breakfast early - at 8.00 a.m and the sun was shining with temperatures of 10°C.

After writing their diary they made masks and had hot-dogs made over the fire! Now they are on their way to Neunkirchen to the in-door pool to go swimming. Now it's also warmer: 15°C.

In the evening they will still tie dye T-shirts and have a lovely buffet with all sorts of yummy stuff.

At night they will play the fairies garden game in the woods.

All the kids are happy, healthy and are eating well!!

Thursday, July 7th, 2005
This morning the children had Irish breakfast (that is beans on toast, not Whisky on Guiness, by the way :-). Then they made T-shirts and played some games.

For lunch the campers had Tacos. In the early afternoon they did some artwork and later there will be an English cinema.

This morning the weather was sunny and cloudy with temperatures around 15° Celsius. At 2 p.m. it started to rain until 5 p.m. Then it started to get better again.

In the evening there will be a BBQ for dinner and then they will have a camp disco. And there will be a fireworks if the weather is ok.

All the children are happy - even though it was raining. They are having a great time!

Friday, July 8th, 2005
Yesterday evening the kids were still lucky with the weather. As it didn't rain they had a lovely BBQ with ribs, chicken, berner sausages and corn on the cob.

They also had an amusing campfire show and played Gerry's famous box game. The boys and girls were up until 1.15 a.m. and had fireworks.

This morning the kids had pancake breakfast at 8.30 a.m. and ate many, many pancakes!!! They loved it!!!

At 11 a.m. they played games with Gerry and Kim in the house. Soon they will pack and get ready to leave the hut.

Due to bad weather conditions (heavy rain and 7°C) the visit to the animal farm is cancelled.

But it's nice and cosy in the hut and all the kids are happily dirty.

They will be in Bad Vöslau at 6.00 p.m.
