Daily NEWS from the camp

Monday, July 3rd, 2006
All the children arrived safely at the Dr. Ferdinand Nagl Haus on the Hohe Wand at 11am. They moved into the rooms, had wraps for lunch and did a tour of the camp and the nearby area.

At 2:30pm the temperatur was at 14° C and it was sunny at that time but there were some clouds around.

The are haveing a 15 minute brake at the time of writing (that is 2:40pm) and they were singing.

Afterwards they will have a friendship game and the compass game in the forrest. Then they will be making pizza for dinner and some jam. Later on there will the the famouse camp fire show and a night walk.

The kids are all well and healhy and are really enjoying their first camp day!

Last night the night-walk went well and all the campers enjoyed it. Bedtime was at 11.00 pm(!).

This morning they had breakfast at 8.00 am with cornflakes and toast. After breakfast they did the journal and then they played balloon games. For lunch the group had hamburgers.

Unfortunately the campers had to say good bye to Carina who went home sick - we wish her well!

At 2.00 pm they played the scotish game (not "Macbeth" - for all the friends of Blackadder). Later on there was room control and they tie dyed T-shirts. At 6.00 pm they started the Soletti game just before dinner (todays special: spaghetti). At night they plan to do the flash-light chase game in the forest.

The weather this day at the camp was mostly sunny with temperatures of around 14°C in the morning and heights of 22°C during the afternoon (which is a new camp record by the way).

Everbody is well and happy.

(n.b.: the e-mails you sent were delivered this afternoon and will be handed out tonight)

The flash-light game last night was fantastic: cloudless and moonlight at 15°C at night! Bedtime was at 12.00pm(!!) after Gerrys ghost story.

This morning the campers had a continental breakfast and then they made Femo armbands. For lunch they had hot dogs over the open fire. Then the group walked to the bus and they drove to the swimming pool in Neunkirchen to enjoy the cool water on that hot day.

The weather could hardly be better: sunshine all day long with no clouds. The temperatures reach from about 15°C in the morning to 22° at lunch time and head up to 28°C in the afternoon! This is the "hottest" camp we can remember.

For dinner they will have a buffet and there are plans for the Goblin game after the camp fire show. For the Goblin game Sheena and Kim (Fionas mother and sister) will join to help.

The weather continous to be great: sunshine all day long. The tempereatures in the morning were around 18°C and they had up to 25°C during the day.

For breakfast they had beans on toast. Then campers played some forest games and build huts. Later they hat mexican tacos for lunch.

In the afternoon there were variouse outdoor activities, especially the water games on the great meadow.

For dinner they will have a grill party and then there will be a camp disco along with fireworks in the evening.

Everybody is healthy and happy. The kids are outdoors all day long and having a great time!

Friday, July 7th, 2006
Last night the campers played disco games, Gerrys famouse box game and they had another fireworks. Bedtime was at midnight.

The morning started with sunshine and pancake at 9.00 am. Afterwards they played a bingo game, the 123 game and darts. For lunch they had sandwiches.

Finally the group cleaned up the hut and packed up and left the Hohe Wand area at 3pm to head to the petting zoo. They will be back to Bad Vöslau at 6.00 pm.

The weather keeps on smiling: sunshine all day until the kids left at 3 (when a storm came up - looks like summer thunderstorm to come). The temperatures raise up to 23°C this day.

All the children are happy - and dirty as usual. Real campers!
