They arrived happiliy and safe at the Dr. Ferdinand Nagl hut on the Hohe Wand after a long ): walk of half an hour. They moved into their rooms, got their plates and cups for the week. Then they did a walk through the area around the hut.
At the moment they are just having lunch - wraps - a mexican speciality!!!
Then they will be playing games outdoors, if the weather permits it (looks quite bad at the moment: black sky), making jam and pizza for dinner.
In the evening they will be going for a night walk in the woods if it doesn't rain.
| | Tuesday, July 10th, 2007 | With 14°C "down bellow" we're all wondering what temperatures the campers, Danny, Gerry and Kelly will be having!! -3°C??? We will find out soon!!
Ok ... it's 7°C and , how unexpected, it's raining and cloudy. But as I heard all the kids are warm and happy in the house!!!
They dd the night walk yesterday evening! This morning thy had cereal, toast, tea and hot chocolate for breakfast. They wrote their diary and made post cards.
Now after lunch (excellent hamburgers) they're playing English olympics and then they will be making armbands out of Femo.
You won't belive it - the sun came out and the kids had spaghetti for dinner. If the weateher stays that nice they will have a camp fire and the show outside. Then they could also play the flashlight game in the woods.
Let's cross our fingers for them!!
| | Wednesday, July 11th, 2007 | Yesterday the kids played the flashlight game and listened to a spooky ghost story.
This morning the boys and girls had Scottish breakfast. It was sunny with temperatures of 8°C.
Then they built shelters in the forrest after they wrote their diary. The shelters have to be waterproof, stable and all kids of the team have to fit into them.
Now they are grilling hotdogs at 18°C in the sun. At 12.30 p.m. they will go to the bus which takes them to the swimmingpool in Neunkirchen. Let's see if they can swimm outdoors!!!
Cause of the wind the children swam indoors. They had good fun and are all quite clean again.
This evening they will have a buffet for dinner with lots of different good stuff. Then they will do a song contest, the hot chilli contest and finally disco with fireworks.
The weather is sunny and stable at the moment with 12°C.
All the boys and girls are fine and happy and are having a great time.
| | Thursday, July 12th, 2007 | This morning the kids had Irish breakfast - beans on toast. Then they wrote their diary, tie dyed their T-shirts and made armbands out of femo.
For lunch the campers had stew - they ate 6 liters!!! So obviously they loved it!!!
In the afternoon they were very busy. They built their shelters, played darts, then they played capture the flag on the field, did skip rope jumping and did the tongue twister game.
At the moment they are getting ready for room control and camp fire show!
At 7.30 p.m. they will have a BBQ, followed by camp show, disco and fireworks.
The weather: sunny and cloudy, 8°C-12°C.
Kids are having a great time and are doing fine!!! Tomorrow they will be in Bad Vöslau at 6 p.m. Enjoy your last "free" evening, hihi.
| | Friday, July 13th, 2007 | Last night the fireworks were cut short after a young fox showed up from the woods. Unfortunately the fox was not shy of the children or the fireworks so we had to move indoors. After the fire works there was a ghost story until 01:00.
This morning the children had pancake breakfast. (classic and chocolate-banana). After breakfast they finished the shelters and then they were examined.
Then they played the scotish games.
They had stew and sandwiches for lunch and then packed up. The children went to the bus a 16:40. We will miss you!!!
weather? Warmer then the past few days. Sunny and cloudy with 16°C.
